FAQs
The Arts and Crafts Fair attracts a wide range of very talented artisans, some of whom are local to the area and others travel considerable distances to join us.
Find out which makers are joining us on each weekend by seeing the Arts and Crafts Fair page.
You can sort the makers by week and by craft.
Only assistance dogs are allowed in the Arts and Crafts Fair.
Yes, there is a different mix of makers at the Barn every weekend.
A very few makers stay with us all 5 weekends, but most makers are at the Barn for one or two weekends, with new makers joining every weekend. This means there is always something new to see each weekend.
See the Arts and Crafts Fair page for more information about which maker is with us on which weekend. You can sort the grid of makers by week and by craft.
Yes, we accept both cards and cash for the Arts and Crafts Fair.
Or you can buy a ticket for a reduced price online.
Children 16 and under are admitted for free.
Most of the makers prefer to take cards, but it is up to each maker how they wish to take payment.
Many of the makers do take commissions, but this is up to each individual maker.
Yes, the different parts of the Barn has heating; Roots Café and the toilets have underfloor heating, the shop and the long barn have gas heating and the thatched barn has radiant electric heaters.
A day ticket for the Arts and Crafts Fair gives you entry to that one day of the Craft Fair, where around 50 makers have gathered.
You can buy the ticket online for £2.50 or for £3 on-the-door.
The season ticket is a great option if you are a fan of quality, handcrafted items.
For £10 (online) or £12 on-the-door, the season ticket gives you access to all 5 weekends (10 days) of the Arts and Crafts Fair. (This price is less than a single day ticket for many equivalent craft fairs in the region.)
There is a wide range of arts and crafts for sale at the fair, from jewellery and ceramics to leather-, glass-, metal- and woodwork, food and drink, art and much more.
Each maker is specifically selected to ensure quality and variety.
You can see more about the makers on the Arts and Craft Fair page.
The cost of the maintenance of an ancient barn such as this one is considerable, as is running an event like the Arts and Crafts Fair.
In order to support the makers and artisans we distribute these costs over both the stall-holders and visitors, thereby keeping the stall-holder fees down.
We charge a small entry fee for every visitor over 16, pricing our tickets very modestly compared to most other craft shows of this calibre.
The £2.50 (online) or £3 on-the-door day-ticket price is less than, for example, standard online postage costs, dropping to £1 per day for an online season ticket. That’s significantly less than a cup of coffee!
Our prices have remained the same over the past years despite the costs rising. By contributing the small entrance cost, you are supporting both Suffolk heritage and the talented craft-makers.
Thank you!
Makers sell their creations from individual stalls directly to visitors, using the days between the weekends to replenish their stock.

A look back at the last days of Rougham Sunflowers 2026🌻
It’s been a week since the sunflower field closed its gates for this season, and what a great year it was! The flowers were glorious this year, with the early rain and then the long, warm, sunny days. Thank you for coming to see them and spend time at the field. We’ve really enjoyed seeing you here!
The sunflowers ended in style with the Sundowner evening on Saturday, which was everything we hoped it would be: good food, great music, drinks in the golden hour and the most wonderful atmosphere as the sun went down over the flowers.
On the final Sunday afternoon, the Canvas Club workshop group painted their sunflowers at the field and some truly beautiful paintings went home with some very happy painters.
None of it would be possible, however, without our brilliant team, who worked so hard throughout the season to make the sunflower experience what it was. The team encompasses so many people who all contribute to the end result - from drilling the seed earlier in the year, to setting up everything in the field for visitors including making games and props, to those manning and servicing the field and the Roots kiosk each day, who open up early and close and clean up each evening, and those in the background who pull the event together in many other ways - it’s a HUGE team effort. Thank you to each of you!! You have been amazing and we are very grateful to every one.
🎃Now it’s time to look ahead to the autumn festival of pumpkins in October. They will be in the same field as the sunflowers this year and will be open every weekend in October and daily for the final week, from 24th-31st.
There’s a great line-up of food trucks and two evening Pumpkins by Torchlight events being planned. Keep your eyes open for more details, here on socials and on our website.
✨And while the pumpkins are in full swing, on 19th October, the Christmas Festival will begin with the opening of the Christmas Shop at Blackthorpe Barn just half a mile down the road.
There’s so much to look forward to! We look forward to seeing you again soon!👋

🌻 Today is the last day of Rougham Sunflowers 2026.
It’s been a wonderful season, and what a way to end it. Yesterday’s sundowner was fabulous - thank you to everyone who came along.
Today, Sunday 16th, the field is open for one final day, 9am-5pm and this afternoon we close with the Canvas Club: Paint Your Own Sunflower - a fitting farewell to the sunflowers if ever there was one.
If you haven’t made it to the field yet this year, today is your last chance.
Come and wander and enjoy these days of summer.
It’s still free to enter, no booking needed.
There won’t be any face painting today.
The field closes for good at 5pm.
Thank you to everyone who has visited this summer. Here are some of the pictures you have shared with us and footage from the past few weeks. Can you spot yourself?
Goodbye sunflowers, you’ve been great … and you know what’s coming next… who’s already getting excited about the 🎃, coming soon in October? 🙋

It’s been a long hot summer, but despite this, the harvest is now safely in.
A HUGE thank you to this line up… our harvest team, for all their work in completing the combinable crop harvest across the Estate.
It’s a busy time of year and their dedication, often working long days in some of the warmest conditions we’ve known, is hugely appreciated.
And, of course, no harvest would be complete without the obligatory annual harvest photo!
Another season done. Well done team RE 🙌
It’s going to be cooler at the weekend!
They are predicting a very pleasant mid-20s for Saturday and Sunday, making it just the perfect temperature to visit the sunflowers for the last time. And it’s spot-on timing for our two final events of Rougham Sunflowers 2026.
🍔On Saturday evening, the Sunflower Sundowner opens at 6pm.
Free entry for everyone, with summer tunes from @solismusicuk , drinks, desserts, snacks and good company as the sun goes down.
BBQ tickets, with meat from @thurstonbutchers , are still available but must be booked by Friday 14th. You don’t need a ticket to come, just to book your meal.
The 6pm-7pm sitting is virtually full, but we still have a few tickets left for the 7pm-8pm sitting. We’ve extended the ticket sales window, to close today, on Friday 14th.
£15 for the adult ticket, £6.50 for the child meal.
All the info, including the menu, from our website - link in profile.
🎨On Sunday afternoon, the Canvas Club: Paint Your Own Sunflower with Sarah Day @_day_design_ brings the season to a close in the best possible way.
From 2pm-5pm enjoy a pleasant afternoon surprising yourself with what you can create, being guided in your painting by Sarah. She’s posted a great little video so you can see how your painting might progress.
Enjoy relaxing company (come with friends, or come and make friends), spoil yourself with a cocktail (or mocktail) included in the price and go home with your finished artwork to remember the day. £45 includes all the materials you need and a cocktail. Tickets from our website - link in profile. Ticket sales close on Friday 14th.
📣The field closes for good at 5pm on Sunday 16th August.
Until then, we’re open every day, 9am-5pm.
🌻The sunflowers have been feeling the heat and many are drooping and are past their best now. However there are still some sunflowers that have just opened, so there are still flowers worth picking. The photos of the sunflowers in this reel were taken on Wednesday 12th.
Come and enjoy the space, the cooler air and the last of the sunflowers. 🌻
