Meet Michael Hussein

For Michael, woodworking is more than a craft, it’s a passion that took hold in 2020 and has never let go. It began with teaching himself to make wooden archery bows, which was quite an ambitious place to start, before quickly expanding into homeware and furniture, crafting creative pieces for his own home and for family.

What draws him back to the workshop time and again is the creative process of designing something new, the satisfaction of mastering a new technique or piece of equipment and the pleasure of working with a material that is endlessly varied and full of character.

But perhaps most of all, it’s the moment when Michael shows someone a finished piece and when he sees their reaction – that, he says, is what it’s all about. Come and see for yourself!
