Photography Competition

Your picture

• Your picture must be taken in the vicinity of Blackthorpe Barn or on one of the Rougham Estate walks.
• It can have been taken at any time and does not need to be taken within the 3 weeks between 21st June – 12th July.
• You can submit up to 3 images.
• Your picture must be posted on Instagram where you tag us @RoughamEstate and use “Rougham Estate Through Your Lens Competition” in the caption.
• We cannot accept any entries sent to us in any other way.
• We cannot accept any entries submitted outside the 3 weeks from 21st June – 12th July, or that haven’t tagged @RoughamEstate or mentioned the competition in the caption.
• If the judges have any reason to doubt that your image was taken within Rougham Estate, your picture will not be eligible to enter the competition.

By entering this competition…

• You agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
• You agree to us reposting your image on our Instagram accounts or other online channels and methods of communication.
• You agree to us printing your image out and displaying it at the Estate.
• You agree to us to publishing your image on our website.
• We will credit you using your Instagram account name, or your personal/business name, if you give this information to us.

How this competition works

• Rougham Estate will be accepting entries to the Through Your Lens Competition from 21st June to 12th July, submitted through Instagram only, where images are tagged with @RoughamEstate and display the caption “Rougham Estate Through Your Lens Competition”.
• From 13th July to 19th July the judging team at Rougham Estate will pick up to 10 of their favourite images from the eligible entries.
• The finalists will be contacted through Instagram to let them know they are in the final vote and to check what name they would like to be credited on their image. If we cannot contact/get a reply from a finalist at this time, we will select another entry to be in the final.
• On the 24th July the finalist entries will be posted on the @RoughamEstate Instagram account and they will be displayed at Blackthorpe Barn for our followers and visitors to vote on. The voting will be open from 24th July until the end of 31st July.
• In order to vote for your favourite picture from the finalists, you must comment which is your favourite on our Instagram post or vote in person at Blackthorpe Barn. The finalist images will also be shown on our website, for information only. There is no voting possible from our website.
• After the 31st July, the in-person and online Instagram votes will be counted and verified.
• On the 5th August we will announce the winner. The winner will be announced on both our Instagram channel and on our website.
• The winner will be contacted and will receive a £100 Rougham Estate gift voucher by email.
• The winning entry will be displayed at Blackthorpe Barn and will be shown on our website.
• By entering this competition you agree to your image being reposted on our social media and online channels, printed and displayed at the Estate and shown on our website. We will credit you with your picture by using your Instagram account name, or your preferred personal/business name if you let us know what this is.
• At every stage of the competition, the judges’ decision is final.

Prize

• The winner of this competition will receive a £100 Rougham Estate gift voucher.
• The gift voucher will be valid from the end of the competition for one year.
• It can be used at Roots Café or the Rougham Estate Shop, including in the Christmas Shop, the Pantry and for Christmas trees. The voucher can be spent over multiple visits until either the amount on the voucher has been spent or the expiry date of the voucher is reached, whichever is sooner.
• The voucher must be used in person and cannot be used for any purchases made through the Rougham Estate website.

• There is no alternative to the gift voucher prize, cash or otherwise.

Instagram is not involved with this competition

• As per Instagram rules, this promotion is in no way sponsored, administered or associated with Instagram. By entering, entrants confirm they are 18+ years of age, release Instagram of responsibility and agree to Instagram’s terms of use.
• Open to UK residents only.
• Entries will be accepted until the end of 12th July.
• In-person and online voting on the finalists will close on 31st July.
• The winner will be announced on our Instagram account on 5th August.
• No purchase necessary.

Who can enter

• Entrants must be age 18 and over.
• Entrants must be resident in the UK.
• No purchase is necessary to enter this competition.
• Entrants must have taken the picture themselves.
• The picture must be of Rougham Estate; it must have been taken around Blackthorpe Barn or on one of the walks around the Estate.
• No AI images or manipulated images accepted.
• The judges’ decision on which entries are accepted into the competition is final.

Rules

• The judges’ decision at each stage of this competition is final.
• By entering this competition you indemnify Rougham Estate against any legal claims, proving that your entry does not infringe on third-party copyrights.
• The closing date and time for entries is at midnight on 12th July and the closing date and time for voting in the second stage is at midnight on 31st July.
• There is no alternative to the prize of a £100 Rougham Estate gift voucher, cash or otherwise.
• If it is found that an entrant has submitted more than 3 image entries, all their entries will be removed from the competition.
• If there is any indication of any wrong-doing connected with a submitted image, which may include but is not limited to trespassing, harassment of wildlife, use of another person’s or stock photography or if there is any indication of the use of AI or that the image has not been taken at Rougham Estate, the judges will disqualify that image from the competition, and any others submitted by that entrant.
• If there is any indication of manipulation of the public voting at the second stage of the competition (between 24th -31st July), this stage of the competition will be closed, if it is still open, and the judging team at Rougham Estate will determine the winner.
