Reconnect, recover and rebalance

The Roaming Sauna is popping-up at Rougham Estate for another weekend, bringing their unique wood-fired sauna, cold showers & cold plunging tubs, all set in the glorious Suffolk countryside. It’s the perfect opportunity to reconnect, recover and rebalance.

This beautifully-converted horsebox has been transformed into a traditional, cosy sauna, crafted for calm and comfort. Step inside and leave the daily stress behind; slow down, recharge and discover why sauna culture has been loved around the world for centuries.

Then move from chatting on the sauna bench to that heart-racing cold shower and cold water plunge followed by the fabulous, warm glow afterwards. Embrace the simplicity and reconnect with the timeless ritual of heat and cool, all within these beautiful natural surroundings.

This hot–cold cycle, known as Contrast Therapy, is proven to boost circulation and recovery, reduce stress and tension, strengthen immunity, improve sleep and rest and leave you energised and refreshed. What’s not to love!

Whether you’re a seasoned sauna-goer or simply sauna-curious, this is a wonderful chance to experience the combined benefits of heat, cold and nature. After your session, you’re free to enjoy the fresh Suffolk air, take a peaceful walk through the Estate, grab a bite at Roots Café or simply sit and savour the stillness.
Please note: the Blackthorpe Barn café and facilities open at 9am and close at 4pm.

Location

The Roaming Sauna will be based on Rougham Estate at Blackthorpe Barn, situated in a quiet meadow to the right of the thatched Blackthorpe Barn, and to the right of the car park/accessible parking.
See the map/ground plan/what3words link below.

Book Your Sauna Session

Sessions are bookable for individuals or pairs in the Community Sauna Sessions or why not book the whole sauna for your private group; bookings are made through The Roaming Sauna website.

Bookings remain open during the event on Saturday and Sunday for any last-minute sauna-goers who would like to join in.

All you need are a couple of towels, a bottle of water and a willingness to switch off for a while.
Come and enjoy!

Spring is here!

We say goodbye to March, a month where we saw the clocks spring forward with longer, lighter days.

There was plenty happening here on the Estate with more to come in this beautiful month of April.

Ok, so we didn’t take the winning award home for Sustainable Strategy, but achieving finalist against some tough competition made us really proud.

It’s a nod to the hard work and sustainable efforts we do on the Estate, daily.

Excellently hosted by David Whiteley, who kept the room engaged throughout with plenty of laughter along the way.

Thanks to the category sponsor @abports21 for considering our application and spending time hearing our story and also to @eadt24 for another great event.

Well done to the winner Old Buckenham Country Park and our joint finalist Saul D Humphrey.
