Pumpkins at Nighttime and Silent Disco
Step into the Rougham Pumpkin Patch after dark and experience the autumn evening in a different way. From 6–9pm on Saturday 25th October, the field will (hopefully!) be glowing under the moonlight and you are invited to bring a torch and wander among the pumpkins to find your perfect one.
Free entrance and parking, as always.
Alongside the pumpkins, the evening will be filled with seasonal treats, cosy corners and the twighlight Silent Disco (for those who want to enjoy it and quiet for those who don’t).
You are welcome to stay on the patch between 5pm and 6pm, but we may ask you to move if we need to rearrange the picnic area where you are sitting.
Food and Drink
Keep your energy levels up with:
What The Peck serving their delicious Suffolk fried chicken
Bad Boi Burritos and their toasted burritos using fresh, local ingredients
Roots&Co providing coffees, teas and warm drinks
Melting marshmallows around the firepits.
Licensed bar on Saturday night.
Please note: the food vans will close around 4.30pm to restock and have a short break before reopening at 6pm for the evening.
Twinkling lights add a magical glow to the picnic area, where benches will be available to pause and savour the festival atmosphere. You’re welcome to bring your own picnic if you prefer.
Children (and grown-ups!) can clamber over the big bale pyramids. Dogs are very welcome in the picnic area, though we kindly ask that they don’t join you in the pumpkin patch itself (as during the day).
Silent Disco
Pump up the fun with music and movement from our Silent Disco, and with three channels to choose from, everyone can dance to their own beat.
Headsets are limited and must be booked in advance to avoid disappointment:
Adults: £6, Children under 16 years: £4.
Headsets have now SOLD OUT
There will be a headset waiting list on the evening at the Pumpkin Payment Marquee. Add your name to the list and when headsets are returned, you can hire them then and there; payment by card. We cannot guarantee when any headsets will be returned.
For those who don’t want any music, you’ll be pleasantly impressed by how you won’t be bothered by any!
Pumpkins will be on sale throughout the evening as usual, so you can head home with your seasonal pick after an unforgettable autumnal night outdoors.
Get dressed up and/or wrap up warm, put on your wellies (depending on the weather), bring your torches and come and enjoy the gorgeous autumn evenings at Rougham Estate.

How it Works
01
Come to the Rougham Pumpkin Patch between 6pm - 9pm
If you have been here during the day, you can stay here between 5pm and 6pm, but please be aware that if you are sitting in the picnic area we may ask you to move as we set the area up for the evening event.
The food vans will close around 4:30pm for a break and to restock, and will reopen for the evening at 6pm.
02
Food and Drink available
There will be food available from What the Peck and Bad Boi Burritos.
Marshmallows will be available to buy and toast on the fire pits – please keep a close eye on your children in this area.
Roots&Co will be selling drinks and there will be a licensed bar too.
Card payment is preferred for all food purchases.
03
Silent Disco Headsets
If you have booked your Silent Disco headsets please come to the Pumpkin Pay tent, let us know your name and the number of headsets booked.
If you have not booked any headsets, we will be running a waiting list. When headsets are returned/become available we’ll call your name.
Payment by card.
The disco will have 3 different channels of music to select from.
From experience last year, the headsets work in the pumpkin patch, but we can’t guarantee how far into the patch the music will reach.
04
When you have finished with your headsets, please return them to the Pumpkin Pay tent.
05
The pumpkin patch is open as normal
You are welcome to search the pumpkin patch for pumpkins by torchlight. Payment for pumpkins is made in the payment tent as normal.
Card payment preferred.
06
Dogs are welcome in the picnic area and in the small doggy pumpkin patch.
In previous years we have allowed dogs into the main pumpkin patch but unfortunately there were too many complaints about the mess left.
07
Enjoy your time here, with or without music. Gates close at 9pm.

As the county is hit with a drought and a hosepipe ban, it’s lovely to see our pollen-and-nectar strips still bursting with life.
The deep‑rooted plants are planted intentionally to feed bees, butterflies and insects - helping pollination and giving refuge in this tough weather.

🌻Welcome back, sunflower lovers! It’s sunflower time again🌻
Open daily - the Rougham Sunflowers are open for 2026!
Free entrance and free parking.
🎟️Open every day 9am - 5pm, with 9am-10am on Tuesdays and Thursdays reserved for ticketed SEN-friendly visits. Otherwise, no booking is needed.
🚗The field this year is south of A14, J 45 near Bury St Edmunds. It’s just over half a mile from the junction, postcode IP30 9HX.
🌻Many sunflowers are already open (the pictures here were all taken yesterday) and there are still thousands yet to open. The flowers are about chest-high due to the lack of rain and the ground is currently dry and dusty but will be muddy if it’s wet.
🧒🏻The well-loved big straw bale pyramids are back, as are the sandpits, bug hunt (£1), pedal tractors, football goals (please bring your own football) and lots of games to play, as well as picnic benches, a marquee for shade/shelter and plenty of room to run around. Toilets are also on site.
🥯Food is provided by the Roots&Co Kiosk serving filled bagels, strawberries, snacks, cakes, ice cream, hot, cold and alcoholic drinks. Card payment preferred, cash accepted.
🧺If you want to bring your own picnic you are welcome to do so.
👩🎨Face painting (£5) by the talented @faceitfaceart will be available starting from Tuesday 28th July.
🌻If you would like to take some sunflowers home with you, just pay for what you pick: £2 per stem, £8 for 5, £12 for 10 stems. Card payment preferred, cash accepted. You may want to bring gloves - the stems can be prickly.
🐕Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the picnic area on a short lead and in the special dog-path through the sunflowers. Due to problems in previous years, dogs are not allowed in the main maze.
📸Tag us in your photos - we love to see them!
And keep your eye open for details about some wonderful evening openings coming soon, with a 5k run, a sunflower painting workshop and a Sundowner evening planned.
All the details can be found on our website - link in profile or DM for the link.

We’re still going with our 2026 harvest!
The team are currently cutting the Winter Oilseed Rape, but it may surprise you to know that our thoughts have also turned to preparations for Harvest 2027.
How?
Following the harvest of the Winter Barley, pig muck from our resident pigs is being spread across the stubbles in anticipation for the planting of the next crop - which will be Winter Oilseed Rape.
This valuable source of organic manure provides the crop with nutrition from the very start, significantly reducing the use of synthetic fertiliser in the autumn.
We are always trying to create a more sustainable farming system, focusing on soil health, the resilience of soils for the future and good general farming practice.
