Your Guides for this retreat
- Sarah is a Suffolk-based yoga teacher and certified women’s coach, originally raised in the Lake District. She is the founder of The Create Space Collective, a passion-led project rooted in feminine energy, self-expression and the freedom to show up unapologetically as yourself. With a holistic approach to wellbeing, Sarah supports women through movement, coaching, creativity and community. She is currently studying a masters-equivalent qualification in somatics and trauma-informed coaching, bringing depth, safety and sensitivity to the spaces she holds. Above all, Sarah is a true girls’ girl, passionate about creating nurturing environments where women feel seen, supported and able to take up space. Her work is centred on helping women reconnect with themselves, their bodies and a sense of belonging. At the Reset Retreat, Sarah holds space with warmth, authenticity and care, inviting you to slow down, restore and come home to yourself.
- Sophie is the founder of The Roaming Sauna, a Suffolk-based wellbeing experience designed to help people slow down, reconnect and restore through the power of heat, rest and ritual. With a deep appreciation for simple, grounding practices and time spent in nature, Sophie creates calming, welcoming sauna experiences. Her work is rooted in the belief that true wellbeing comes from giving ourselves permission to pause, to take a moment away from the noise and return to a steadier, more balanced state. At the Reset Retreat, Sophie brings a gentle, considered approach to relaxation, offering guests space to unwind, recharge and fully embrace the restorative benefits of sauna bathing within the peaceful setting of Rougham Estate.

It’s crackers that you can travel across the world and still find a little bit of Rougham Estate.
Our Estate Manager, Simon Eddell, while on holiday, spotted something rather familiar on the shelves – Ryvita, proudly made in England.
We supply rye for @ryvitauk which means that even in Australia there’s a little slice of Rougham. It seems our rye really does have quite the passport.
Sorry… not sorry.

As we come to the end of our thatching today, we have last week’s progress videos to share with you. While things may look as though they’ve slowed down, it’s quite the opposite, we’re now into the finer finishing details.
The thatch has taken on a beautiful golden colour and the roof is now fully watertight. We’re so pleased with how everything is coming together and can’t wait to share the final video with you in the next few days once the scaffolding is down.

If you have been watching the rethatch with interest and are wanting to see it in action - then don’t wait any longer. The thatching is set to finish on Tuesday next week!
As we’ve been on our thatching journey, we’ve been asked plenty of questions and we’ve discovered even more along the way. It’s been a real learning curve for everyone on the Estate and George has been right at the heart of it answering as many questions as he can.
You can watch the full video on our website in The Rougham Post (link in bio), but here’s a little taster of some of the questions we’ve been asked.
