MEET Liz Kemp

From Liz’s workshop in Billericay, Essex, she designs and makes her bags and accessories using fabric woven in Wales.

Working with textiles, she uses a variety of carefully-selected natural fabrics including silk, wool and some vintage fabrics, but mostly she uses 100% wool tweeds which are woven in Wales by her sister. The tweed is unique, beautiful, soft, hardwearing and lovely to work with.

Her designs are unfussy but interesting. She likes to play with colour, texture and shape and often incorporates appliqué or other creative techniques in the design.

Ensuring her products are practical, she really enjoys the creative process and prides herself on her attention to detail and quality.
