Claire Porter began potting whilst living in Kent, working through adult education evening classes before gaining City and Guilds qualifications in Ceramics at Tonbridge Adult Education Centre, under the guidance of the brilliant and inspiring Brigit Head.

In 2005 she moved with her family to South Norfolk and set up a small studio in a flower-filled and tranquil garden (which gives much inspiration and materials for her work).

She is a member of Anglian Potters, and offers tasters for beginners and intermediate learners in throwing. Special Raku making and firing days are also offered throughout the year.
