Summer Sunflowers
In mid-summer the beautiful sunflower field opens where you can immerse yourself in a sea of vibrant gold. The sight of towering sunflowers, swaying gently in the breeze, creates a picturesque landscape.
The air is filled with the sweet fragrance of blooming flowers, and the warm sunlight adds a golden glow. There’s plenty of space for children to run and play, with coffee and food available. Entrance and parking are free.
Autumnal Pumpkins
Just in time for autumn, the huge pumpkin patch opens with thousands upon thousands of coloured pumpkins dotting the field, ready for picking. The crisp air is filled with the scent of earth and the promise of Halloween.
It is wonderful family fun to come and find the perfect pumpkins for carving or decoration. With space to play and delicious food and drink on offer, it has a fabulous festival feel. Entrance and parking are free.
Art and Craft
Throughout the year, the tranquil surroundings of Blackthorpe Barn provide the perfect backdrop for discovering unique works of art or learning new skills. From annual exhibitions and regular craft workshops to the famous Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair over five weekends, talented artisans from around the country gather here.
Whether you’re an enthusiast or a casual visitor, experiencing the creativity of arts and crafts at Rougham Estate promises inspiration, cultural enrichment and fun.
Christmas
From late October, step into the festive magic of Rougham Estate’s Christmas events, held at Blackthorpe Barn. The magical Christmas shop opens first, followed by the fun PYO Christmas Tree weekends. Throughout November and December the inspirational Rougham Art and Crafts Fair is held in the impressive thatched barn and our freshly cut Rougham Estate Christmas trees are available for weeks.
The air is filled with festive joy as the whole Barn area transforms into a winter wonderland. Bring family and friends to create lasting memories and enjoy the seasonal cheer at Rougham Estate’s Christmas celebrations.

In 2 weeks the renowned Arts&Crafts Fair at Rougham Estate will begin for 2025, running for 5 weekends and showcasing some of the best artisans and makers from around the country.
If you appreciate quality, in a world that seems increasingly full of fast-throwaway-plastic stuff, then this is the place for you. The makers themselves are at the Barn for you to speak to and they will gladly tell you about their creations. Each weekend you will discover a new group of makers, with some staying only one week with us and others returning a few times.
From beautifully-crafted furniture to fused glass decorations, handmade clothing to ceramics, artworks, jewellery and garden sculptures and more, you’ll be impressed.

From November 15th, for 5 weekends, the fabulous Rougham Estate Arts&Crafts Fair will be held in the gorgeous Blackthorpe Barn.
This is the place to come to get all the Christmas feels and to find some excellent gifts – perfect for giving, excellent for keeping!
On each of the 5 weekends there will be a new mix of makers in the Barn, selling their own hand-crafted work, with each maker having been carefully selected and many coming from around the country.

Roots Café has a fresh menu for the season, with something for everyone. There are brunch dishes, lunches, lighter bites, a kids menu and plenty of vegan and vegetarian options.
It’s ideal for keeping children happy during the holidays after a walk on one of the Estate walks.
We use local Suffolk produce where we can, keeping things simple, tasty and relaxed.

Your ideal tree is out there, and what’s more fun than finding it yourself whilst making magical memories with all the family?
Bring the family and the dog (on a lead) to our Christmas Tree plantation and search through hundreds of trees until you find your perfect match.
We cut it fresh just before your collection week when you simply pick up your wrapped tree at Blackthorpe Barn and head home to decorate!

Today is the last day for Rougham Pumpkins for 2025.
We are open 9am-4pm today.

🎃Pumpkins, gourds and squashes – hiding in the further reaches of the field now

It’s been another amazing season! Due to the pumpkin patch having been very popular over the past 4 weekends we are having to close 4 days earlier than expected. Thank you to everyone who came – it’s been a real pleasure to welcome you to the Sunflowers and Pumpkins this year🎃🌻
2025 has been a tricky growing year with the dry weather early on causing the sunflowers to bloom later than expected and keeping the pumpkins generally smaller than in previous years. Thank you for support and for all the lovely comments and encouragement. We’re already busy planning next year, keeping some things the same and updating others👍
