MEET Tricia Francis

Tricia makes modern hand-thrown domestic earthenware on a 60-year-old kick wheel. She is passionate about making pots that are useful, beautiful and accessible.

Everything she makes is designed for a purpose that is mostly related to the celebration of food and drink. Making a light well-balanced mug that sits well in the hand for everyday use is as important to her as making a large commemorative piece to celebrate a special occasion.

The loosely-thrown pots are decorated with freely-poured glazes over a white dishwasher-safe zircon glaze, in coastal colours of soft greys and green.

Making ware that is priced so as to be accessible to everyone has always been key to her business.
