MEET Kathy Scott

Kathy creates sculptures using historical costumes and high couture fashion with accentuated form. She works mainly in beautiful raw silk and mixed media, bringing the sculptures to life in three-dimensional form with a sense of expressive movement and delicacy taken from her initial drawings.

Her work creates sentimental scenes resembling a freeze-frame or still from an old movie. She recreates the essence of a given period in history, recapturing romance, glamour, humour, nostalgia, evoking strong emotions and precious memories. Or she can transport you to a wonderful world of vivid scenes taken from her own dreams of fantasy and fairytales.
