Do you remember the pumpkins?

The ones left over aren’t going to waste!

Here are the sheep feasting on the remaining ones and enjoying the early morning sun on a frosty day.

Not only do the sheep enjoy mopping up the pumpkins but they are recycling the nutrients back into the soil and fertilising the field ready for next year.

These sheep are from Ickworth Park and spend part of the winter on the Rougham Estate, finishing off these pumpkins and grazing other fields on the Estate. Come spring, they go back to Ickworth Park again.

Before long, it will be time to be planting the sunflowers and pumpkins again for the new year. We’re looking forward to welcoming you back for the summer and autumn fun!
