Autumn is here and the Rougham Pumpkin Patch is full of brightly coloured pumpkins and gourds. The patch is open throughout October, at first for weekends only and then daily from 26-31 October 2024.
Each weekend we are joined by street-food vendors selling a wide variety tasty treats from posh cheese toasties, fried chicken, freshly-made waffles, coffee, cake and much more. The pedal tractors are back and the sandpits, with plenty of space to sit and enjoy the countryside, as well as the big bale pyramid that everyone enjoys climbing!
Wander around the huge pumpkin patch to find your perfect pumpkin, and enjoy the props and photo opportunities as you go.
There is no entry charge or booking needed. Only pay for any pumpkins you want to take with you.
Don’t forget that the pumpkins are edible. We have a pumpkin pie recipe at the field, or look online for ideas on how to cook your pumpkin.
New this year – Pumpkins by Torchlight and Silent Disco. For two evenings you are welcome to come and enjoy the sun setting over the patch, picking your pumpkins by torchlight. Food and entertainment provided, with a reservation system for the disco headsets.
Any pumpkins that are left are enjoyed by a local flock of sheep that comes to visit the patch and to recycle the remaining pumpkins into fertiliser for the coming year.
Find out all the details from the PYO Pumpkins page.
