Textile Art: one-of-a-kind stitched pictures, figures and accessories by Janine Pope

My work is focused on people (and flowers, dogs and the occasional horse and chickens!) which are either drawn using a sewing machine onto textiles and then appliqued or painted or stitched or hand drawn onto handmade paper and mounted and framed. Some of the images I have turned into prints and I have also self published a small book which I illustrated and wrote about Christmas featuring the character I post on Instagram together with her dog. I use natural materials in all my Textile work and stitch onto vintage linen using a muted colour palette which reflects my Danish heritage. I am also planning to write and illustrate a story book based on a collection of Bicycle illustrations I have in my textile work which will be completed in the Summer.
