MEET Matthew Read

Matthew explores sculptural and textural forms using different precious metals and base metals such as gold, silver and copper. He uses raw and rare uncut stones within his work including meteorite, moldavite, which is a form of meteorite, tourmaline, ruby, sapphires, garnets and much more. His sculptural jewellery is developed through exploring old and modern forms of processes, including the Japanese metal folding technique of Mokume-gane, keum boo and 3D Printing technology.
