The Lake’s History
The lake is a picturesque fishing spot and was managed by the Bury St Edmunds Angling Association about two decades ago. In 1973, the lake underwent drainage for maintenance purposes, followed by restocking.
It is narrow at one end with a main dam at the other end and completely surrounded by big, ancient trees. While a public footpath runs nearby, direct access to the lake is currently not permitted for the general public.
